1. What’s your age? 29. 2. What age were you when you started playing Ultimate? I was 17 when I started playing.

3. How did you hear of the sport, who introduced you? My high school guidance teacher and former Stella player Michelle Gauthier.

4. Who started playing first of the four of you? It was me.

5. What sports had you played before Ultimate? I played them all too, basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, rugby, track, badminton but I loved martial arts most out of any of the other sports that I did.

6. How long have you (4) now been playing together on the same team? About three or four years now but it feels like much longer

7. Are you aware that you four could be the first in the history of the sport to all be playing at the premier level, on one team? Whatcha think of that? I think that it’s really cool for it to have finally happened. The four of us have always been competitive but the age differences have made it virtually impossible for us to play together. It is really nice and motivates the four of us in all kinds of different ways.

8. Do you have a nickname, if so... What is it, and why? No, I think I am the only brother without one. I like it that way.

9. What’s your best strength in the game? I would have to say that my best strength is my consistency.

10. Where are you the weakest? I would like to be a bit more aggressive with down-field hucks. Consistency is great as long as it doesn’t replace complacency or hesitancy to take chances.

11. Do you four get along? If not.... Who’s the biggest jerk? :-) Or have you all grown up now and there’s less drama, and more camaraderie? Ya, I think the four of us definitely get along. I mean, we all have dominant personalities so it definitely makes things interesting to say the least. I would have to agree with Derek that because of those personalities all four of us are pretty jerky sometimes.

12. Are you doing anything to overcome your weakness? If so... What? Sure am. I am trying to get Derek and Jamie to stop hucking so much.

13. What gets you in game mode? Music? Cheers? The look in your teammate’s eyes? The quest for gold? What? Winning, winning, winning. I love trash talk, and the more chippy it is the better for me as I am pretty aggressive and confrontational.

14. How are you finding the travel to tournaments? Tired of it? Counting the days? I don’t mind the travel at all. I sleep a lot in the cars so it’s all the same. As I get older I definitely find myself putting more emphasis on the

younger guys and team bonding, as I truly believe it is these things that separate the great teams from the good teams.

15. What championships have you won? Junior National Championships, but Phoenix is a new team and that list is about to get a whole lot more decorated in the coming future.

16. Which ones have you not won?.... And are you holding out until you win them? I really want Canadian Nationals, and once we do I don’t want to lose another. I wouldn’t say I am holding out till I win this, but more so I will walk away when I can no longer contribute to winning them anymore. Also really want Phoenix to qualify for Florida UPA series.

17. What do you most like about the game? ie, if you are a handler, does that give you the rush? Or the flow? Or the layouts? Or the d-blocks? What do you enjoy the most? I really enjoy the competition. And seeing that look on the guy’s face when he is trying to cover you doesn’t know what to do. I live for looking across the line and at your
