would be epic. After a long journey home with gelato and food stops we arrived back at the hostel. It’s amazing how much better things tasted than they did yesterday when you are a world champ today. The plan was to rip up the Discotheque in the basement of the hostel. Starting things off on the terrace bar to have a few as a team, we soon moved down to the Discotheque stopping off in the courtyard to sing Oh Canada and pop a bottle of the bubbly. It was a wild night down in the basement where the Columbians, Australians and G.B. joined up to light the night on fire. We tore up the d-floor with our dancing. Checkout the next morning at 11 am was rough, but we still felt great! Special thanks to both the women’s/men’s Team Canada and our coaches/manager. What an unforgettable experience! The brightest moments always come back vividly.
crowned. The fall outdoor season is well under way, and will be over all too soon. For many of our members, Ultimate is done until next May. But just because you won’t see your friends on the field doesn’t mean you can’t catch up off the field! We’re excited about our 30th Anniversary Gala, which took place on Friday, October 22 at Steam Whistle Brewery.
This celebration included a three- course, cocktail-style, professionally catered dinner, awards ceremony, and the unveiling of the TUC 30th Anniversary documentary video, directed by Otto Chung. It also featured memorabilia displays and the first-ever TUC Hall of Fame inductions. Tickets were on sale for $50 per person and at publication time, had sold over 150 tickets already! There was also a party to follow,
featuring the Handsome Nobodies and a DJ.
HALL OF FAME The nomination period has closed,
and the Hall of Fame committee is reviewing all candidates. While we can’t divulge any details just yet, we can guarantee that this is going to be a group whose accomplishments and contributions to Ultimate in Toronto will knock your socks off. Many thanks to everyone who took the time to send in a nomination. Our inductees will be introduced at the gala event, after which an area will be set up on the web site to permanently honour these outstanding individuals and those who will join them in the future.

This programme is free to attendees, offers the evening schedule and menu, summaries of our Hall of Fame recipients and includes 30 year stories. SEEKING MEMORABILIA Our members are the lifeblood of
the club, but it is after all a team sport. The gala event will include displays of memorabilia from teams both past and present. Trophies will be on display, showing the names of past winners, but we are also looking to include your custom discs, jerseys, hats, short shorts, sweat bands, old photos/videos and anything else TUC related.
