Who do We think WE Are week

Who Do We Think We Are Week is a National Citizenship week which encourages the exploration of individual and community identity and promotes community cohesion. At Villiers High School, this week, students in their Humanities, Creative Arts, English, Maths and Personal Development lessons have been exploring their identity and what it means to be British living in a multicultural area like Southall. This resulted in a showcase of the learning that has taken place this week, with exhibits of art creating a sail, students identifying where their family come from on a world map, students learning about local history and the Southall Riots, students learning about the contributions of mathematicians from around the world, a fantastic performance of “We are the World” and a drama piece exploring individual and school identity. This resulted in a wonderful showcase of all the talents of our students at Villiers High School. Many thanks to all the staff and students who made this event happen. By Ms Winter
