In Touch with Members Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan


In April Upali met with members in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, NTRC and KTR. He held discussions with the members’ senior executives, getting to know their challenges and requirements and how the ABU could provide assistance to them. He also made several presentations


to them on ABU meetings and a number of technical topics of current interest. Both NTRC and KTR are in the process of converting MCR and postproduction operations to total automation. Both broadcasters have recently commenced trial DVB-T transmissions in selected cities.
