Flying Monkey Performance Center Re-Opening With Legends Of Rock N’ Blues Superband
PLYMOUTH - After an inten- sive four month renova- tion, the revitalized Flying Monkey Movie House & Performance Center on Main Street in downtown Plymouth jolts back to life with an electrifying show featuring legends of rock and blues. The James Montgomery Blues Band will be joined by The Rolling Stones’ Uptown Horns, Santana’s Michael Carabello and David Hull of the Joe Perry Project on Friday, July 23 with special guest opener The Brooks Young Band starting at 8 p.m. Once a defunct theater,
the revitalized Flying Mon- key will bring a renewed cultural beat to the White Mountains region, offering live musical performances and theatrical produc- tions in an intimate 400 seat setting. “We’ve heard from so many in the area telling
it restored and bringing arts and culture to area residents.” Renovations of what was
previously a two-screen movie theater have in- cluded gutting the two existing cinemas and converting them into one intimate performance hall, reconfiguring the entrance and concession areas, uncovering balcony seating that existed in the theater’s earlier years and completely renovating the restrooms.
