Gomyo will be the featured soloist with the New Hampshire Music Festival in an evening of treasured classics. Ms. Gomyo is hailed by the Chi- cago Tribune as “a first- rate artist of real musical command, vitality, brilliance and intensity.” Concerts will be held Thurs- day, July 22 and Fri- day, July 23 at the Hanaway Theatre at the Silver Center for the Arts, PSU, Plym- outh, New Hamp- shire. Conducted by Andrew Grams, for- mer Assistant Con- ductor of the Cleve- land Orchestra, this performance features Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2, and Rossini’s William Tell Overture.

the United States’ most promising and talented con- ductors. He made debut appearances with the Philadel- phia Orchestra,
Chicago Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra. He currently holds a post as Assistant Conductor of the Cleve- land Orchestra and con- ducts on their main series and has led concerts with the orchestra at the Blos- som Music Center, sum- mer home of the Cleve- land Orchestra. When asked what it is like to conduct such venerable orchestras, Grams replied with a youthful answer. “This is soooo cool. When a young conductor works with orchestras such as the Cleveland, Chicago, or Philadelphia, they are painfully wowed by the sounds and the ability of each group to work so tightly together. It is an experience I wish everyone could have.” A free Words on Music lecture precedes all Clas- sics Series concerts fea- turing the evening’s guest conductor.
