HOMEAID CARE PROJECT UPDATES
THE WOMEN’S HOME
The Women’s Home is a multi-ethnic, non- denominational, non-profit United Way agency. Founded in Houston in 1957, it offers clients comprehensive clinical, vocational and chemical dependency programs, along with job training. At any given time, 26 women live at the Women’s Home.
Remodeler Captain Breck Powers, LBJ Construction, is partnering with HomeAid to remodel the great room and the shelter’s mini-kitchen. Work consists of installing new tile flooring, countertops, light fixtures and ceiling tile, ice maker and door replacement and painting the walls and ceilings.

COVENANT HOUSE PROJECT
HomeAid Care recently completed a remodeling project for Covenant House Texas (CHT) Crisis Shelter, which houses an average of 40 to 50 homeless youth each night. The administration building facelift was headed by Remodeler Captain Kenneth Charanza, Charanza Contracting Inc., and HAH board member Leslie King, president of Greymark Construction Co. Work included new paint, replacing all flooring, new baseboards and installation of new lighting and bath fixtures.
