DANNY CARDENAS
Danny Cardenas is a Systems Engineer with the Northrop Grumman. He currently works on the New York City Wireless project (NYCWiN), a high-speed broadband wireless public safety network. The network gives the city’s emergency responders data access to support large file transfers, fingerprints, mug
shots, city maps, and full-motion streaming video. Cardenas joined the project in November of 2007, as an Application Systems Engineer working specifically on the design and integration of Class applications into the City of New York’s infrastructure. Prior to Northrop Grumman, Cardenas was Assistance Vice President in the Global Technology Services group within Lehman Brothers (now Barclays Capital).
Cardenas earned a master of science degree in electrical engi- neering with a concentration in wireless communication from Polytechnic University. He has served as president and finance vice president of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). In 2005, Cardenas won both the Recruiter Program Leader and the Diversity Contributor Plus awards at Lehman Brothers.
MONIQUE DELMAR
Monique Delmar is a Systems Engineer, Wireless Applications, for
Northrop Grumman. Delmar
began her tenure with Northrop Grumman in the Aerospace Systems sector as a Flight Test Engineer. During her four years there, she worked in systems integration for the EA-18G aircraft, testing and validating the code developed for the electronic attack subsystem
while taking nighttime and weekend classes at Polytechnic University, completing a master’s degree in Computer Science. In 2008, Delmar joined the New York City Wireless (NYCWiN) project in Northrop Grumman’s Information Systems Sector.
Delmar is the Marketing and Public Relations Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers New York City Professional Chapter (SHPE-NYC), an organization committed to promoting the success of Hispanics in STEM fields.
DANIEL FRESQUEZ
Daniel Fresquez is the Process Section Manager for the back-grind, cleanup, bake UV-erase, and test processes within the EBT/SCT test floor operations at Texas Instruments (TI). In this position, he is repeatedly called on to develop process characterization for new 200 mm and 300 mm product road- maps and probe operations. In his current role, he manages a group of 23 extremely talented engineers and technicians. In this position Fresquez provides process support and development of TI’s most ad- vanced testing facility. His team is consistently cited for excellence in terms of innovation, technical advancements and new product integration related to process and test engineering.
Fresquez is an official mentor in TI’s mentoring program and has also helped train and mentor many EBT interns during their tenure at TI. He has also served a recruiter at the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers annual conference.

LEONY ROSA
Leony Rosa is a Wireless Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman. He began his tenure at Northrop Grumman in the Electronic Warfare Systems division of the Integrated Systems (now Aerospace Systems) sector as a Systems Engineer working on new products and applications for the United States Navy. In
March of 2007, he transferred to a new position as a Test Engineer in the Information Technology (now Information Systems) sector working on the development of the New York City Wireless Integrated Network (NYCWIN).
Rosa serves as finance vice president for the New York City Professional Chapter at Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, an organization dedicated to the advancement of Hispanics in the STEM fields, where he also has served as internal vice president.
FRANCISCO TEJADA
Francisco Tejada, a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman, began his work with the company in Beth- page, New York, which is the home of the prestigious Lunar Module and F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. While there, he worked on the Integrated Logistics Support team for Electronic Attack products. Tejada then accepted an
Applications System Engineer position on the new NYCWiN project for the city of New York.
Tejada earned his master’s in systems engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He currently serves as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers-NYC Pre-College Relations Direc- tor. Tejada previously served as treasurer and president at the Poly-SHPE Student Chapter and on the Professional Development Program committee in the NYC chapter. Since 2008, he has led SHPE-NYC’s initiative to promote the Science, Technology, Engi- neering and Math (STEM) fields at the pre-college levels.
