JOSE C. RAMIREZ
Jose C. Ramirez, a senior manager of Software and Decision Science at Intel Corporation, has 15 years of international experience and organizational development skills, which are complimented by his broad business and technical expertise in supply chain management, operations management, software develop- ment, operations, and decision sciences. Ramirez developed and managed the team which today not only delivers tools but has
also saved Intel over $35 million by being able optimize Intel’s factory build plans. Under his leadership, the group’s impact has expanded to include all facets of Intel’s supply planning operations across microprocessors, chipsets and embedded processes. This software solution is now the standard enter- prise platform for Intel.
Ramirez earned his executive master’s degree in international business from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from Arizona State University. He received the TMG Excellence Award in 2001 and 2005, the CPLG Excellence Award in 2005, Divisional Recognition Awards in 2003 and 2005, and the Intel Latino Network’s President and Outstand- ing Community Outreach in Diversity Award for 2007, among others.
JUAN LAFUENTE
Juan Lafuente is the program manager of the Platform Systems Integration Support Program within the Network
Integration and Engineer- ing Division of Science Applications Internation-
al Corporation. He man- ages a team of 20 that includes systems engineers, project managers, technical
and on site leads, documentation and drafting personnel, and administrative support staff. Lafuente is responsible for providing program and project management support for a multitude of task orders from inception to completion. His team is prepared to meet, at a moment’s notice, the needs of the Navy, Military Sealift Command (SEALOGPAC), and Coast Guard surface vessels. In 2007, he was one of only 50 employ- ees selected for the Systems Engineering Certification and master’s degree program sponsored jointly by SAIC and George Washington University.
Lafuente contributes to the NFL-sponsored football “camps for kids” at local San Diego high schools. He also assists in coaching a YMCA soccer team and coaches a co-ed adult recreational league soccer team.

ARNEL J. ALVERIO
Arnel J. Alverio is an engineering manager at ITT Space Systems
Division. His responsibilities include managing strategic departments’ burden and capital budgets, managing the formation of a chief technology office organiza- tion, collecting and reporting on key perfor- mance indicators, manag-
ing relationship development with local universities and assisting the management of day to day operations. Alverio was the first candidate selected for a new leadership position created to offer emerging leaders the opportunity for expo- sure to a variety of business related activities such as burden and capital budget planning, Global Deployment Process (GDP) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) activities, leader- ship development and other business related tasks.
Alverio has been a member of the SSD’s Diversity and Inclu- sion Council for the past three years. He championed the creation of ITT SSD’s Hispanic and Latino Network (HLN), over which he presided for two years. Recently, Alverio and another ITT SSD employee were nominated for the Harold S. Geneen Award Community Service Team Achievement at ITT for lead- ing the company’s efforts to provide a tutoring and mentoring program to a local elementary inner-city school.
JOSE A. SALAZAR
Jose A. Salazar is a techni- cal specialist at Southern
California Edison’s Electric Transportation
Department, where he manages EV infrastructure operations. His responsibili- ties include EV standards development and system impact assessments. Currently, Salazar is an active participant in the Society of Automotive
Engineers, EV Connector and Grid to PEV Communication standards. Salazar also serves as co-chair of SAE’s “Power Quality Requirements for On-Board Vehicle Chargers” and sits on the Underwriters Laboratories,“EV Safety” technical panel.
Previously, Salazar worked as a test engineer in the company’s Electric Vehicle Technical Center where he led all electro-drive technology system impact evaluations and the development of new testing facilities including the “Garage of the Future”. His background in power and control systems relating to elec- tric drive technologies enables him to support the company’s effort to integrate electric vehicles with the future Home Area Network (HAN).
