we have now become used to. It is hope there will be some new planters or

The bus-bay is to be removed; therefore the service bus will have to stop on
the carriageway. This does not seem like an improvement and will only add

to congestion problems already being experienced. This has been highlighted
to the authorities; hopefully it’s not too late to be reconsidered.
The February meeting of Brookfi eld WRI was well attended. The speaker,
Mrs MacLeod, from the Weaver’s Cottage, Kilbarchan, held her audience
with stories not only of the cottages appeal today, but of an archealogical
dig made in its garden a few years ago. She displayed woven material
designed and produced at Kilbarchan and spoke of the honour experienced
when she was requested to create and weave a blanket to dress the bed of
Rabbie Burns in the cottage at Alloway.
We meet on the third Monday of the month at 7.45pm in the Village Hall. If
you enjoy sewing, knitting or crochet; water colours, pastels or oils; baking,
photography or just making new friends, please come along and join us.
New members are always welcome.
