difference to their own school communities and to the wider community.
Honouring a set of shared principles and beliefs, they have pooled their
time, energy and resources to infl uence their communities for good.
Their motto is ‘Connect to Inspire’ and they put this into action by
planning and delivering a Leadership Academy to S1 pupils from both
schools in May 2009. This week long event brought together pupils from
each school, for a programme of activities which developed the core
beliefs of the group: Respect, Integrity, Inspiration and Perseverance.
The fi rst year Academy graduates, now second year, are ‘rippling’ their
experience to the new fi rst year pupils of both schools through planning
and delivering joint Confi dence and Respect days.
