An Evening of Lesbian and Gay Comedy
The city of West Hollywood, through its Lesbian and Gay Advisory Board and Arts and Cultural
Affairs Commission, presents an evening of Lesbian and Gay Comedy with Suzanne Westenhoefer,
The Gay Mafia and Sandra Valls. Suzanne Westenhoefer’s groundbreaking career as the first openly
gay comedian includes appearances on David Letterman, HBO, Bravo, Logo and GSN as well as
performances across the U.S. in popular theaters, clubs and fundraisers. The Gay Mafia has given
over 250 performances and performed sketch and improvisation comedy in venues across the
U.S., including The L.A. Convention Center, Highways Performance Space, The Renberg Theater,
The Tamarind Theater, The Ice House, The Second City Theater, The Broward Performing Arts Center
and many more. Sandra Valls ignites the stage with her powerful performance in Showtime’s The
Latin Divas of Comedy. She is a featured comic on I Love Shanghai Surprise. Her television credits
include Outlaugh Festival and One Night Stand Up on Logo, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen on
ABC, HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and more. Have a hilarious time with the funniest gay and
lesbian comics. The first half of the evening will be devoted to improvisation and sketch comedy,
featuring the group The Gay Mafia. The second act will feature standup comedians including Su-
zanne Westenhoefer. Experience Gaylarious! An Evening of Lesbian and Gay Comedy on June 24 at

Upright Cabaret—Shoshana Bean Sings Streisand
Witness the evolution of a diva in this two-part theatrical concert, as former Wicked star Shoshana
Bean begins the night singing the hits of Barbra Streisand in Shoshana Bean: A Happening at the Ford,
and ends with “My Name is Shoshana” on June 11 at 8:00 p.m. Also look forward to Bean performing
songs from her debut album, Superhero. Bean also appeared in the original Broadway cast of Hair-
spray and the acclaimed 2001 off-Broadway revival of Godspell. This production features the music
direction talent of legendary Gerald Sternbach and Matt Cusson. Shoshana Bean: A Happening at
the Ford is co-sponsored by Christopher Street West and has been selected as official “Pride Night
