The stage is set for the biggest ever ILTM

International Luxury Travel Market 2015 will be the largest ILTM ever staged, with more than 60,000 pre-scheduled appointments arranged between the 1,500 luxury travel buyers and 1,500 suppliers attending the event in Cannes from November 30 to December 3. XO Private and Preferred Hotels have
increased their exhibition presence by as much as 50%, while Leading Hotels of the World will host 20 new member properties resulting in its largest ever portfolio at ILTM. Europe has a particular focus, with Turkey and
Greece alone bringing 25% more hotels and DMCs, while more private islands are in attendance, such as Cousine Island in the Seychelles and Pemba Island in Zanzibar. New exhibitors include Lefay Resort & Spa in Lake Garda, Tequila in Mexico, Mustang Monument in Nevada, Sacred House in Greece and Berkeley River Lodge in Australia. Also new is Etihad Airways, bringing its Mobile
Exhibition to park outside the congress centre in Cannes. Etihad’s 16-metre long mobile space includes full-size mock-ups of The Residence, the world’s only three-room cabin on a commercial airline, and the First Apartment. Meanwhile, delegates at this year’s ILTM
Global Forum will hear how the importance of storytelling will continue to grow in luxury travel. Speaking at the event, Claire Bennett, vice-
president, strategic partnerships for American Express Consumer Travel, will tell delegates how to achieve “breakthrough” and deliver what

ILTM is encouraging UK luxury travel buyers to attend some of its other global events once Cannes is completed this December. Next up will be ILTM Japan (February 26-
March 2), where advisors can meet the people providing some of Japan’s best travel experiences. Global visitor numbers to Japan are shooting up, and had already increased by 49% year-on-year for January-September 2015. Also coming up is ILTM Africa (April 4-6),
which operates as a platform to showcase elite products from across Africa to buyers. ILTM is also keen to ensure UK luxury travel suppliers attend all ILTM Portfolio events with the exception of ILTM Africa, which is just for showcasing African product. As well as ILTM Japan and ILTM in Cannes,
