Irish group revamps portfolio By April Hutchinson
The Doyle Collection has completed a revamp of all its hotels and launched a new brand identity as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. The family-owned group has its roots in
Ireland, but has eight hotels which over the past seven years have been undergoing a €200 million investment programme culminating in new identities for each property and a restructure to split them into either “luxury” or “urban” hotels. The five “luxury” hotels are identified as
The Westbury in Dublin; The Kensington (pictured), The Marylebone and The Bloomsbury in London; and The Dupont Circle in Washington DC, while the “urban” hotels are The River Lee in Cork, The Croke Park in Dublin and The Bristol.
Along with new identities for each hotel, new
branding for all restaurants has been rolled out and the website has also been revamped to drive bookings and showcase new photography, content and blogs. During 2014 and 2015, several projects were
completed, including The Grafton Suite and the launch of Balfes brasserie and bar at The Westbury. Also in London, the ground floor at The Kensington was refurbished, including the lobby, Drawing Room, and launch of Town House restaurant and K-bar. This past summer saw the unveiling of The
London Suites at The Marylebone and the launch of 108 Brasserie, Bar and Pantry, while The Bloomsbury launches a new restaurant, Dalloway Terrace this December.
A real prize winner The Pulitzer, an Amsterdam classic, is undergoing a brilliant redesign to bring it up to date. The hotel launches its first phase on February 1, including Pulitzer’s Bar, new restaurant Jansz and 80 rooms. Phase two starts inthe autumn,
