Jo Hartley, travel consultant at Hallmark Travel in East Grinstead, says the first SATurday Kitchen trip was a real eye-opener

It was my first visit to South Africa and all my preconceptions were blown away. It is such a welcoming country, and having the cookery classes and competition made it a really unique experience. The food in South Africa is fantastic and is really good value for money, and it was really special being taught by experts and even going diving for oysters to serve at dinner. The trip has really helped me sell South Africa since I’ve been back, and I’ve been able to pass on some cooking tips to my customers too!
