Butlins has invested £16 million in a new chalet village at its Minehead resort, drawing on advice from users of parenting website Mumsnet. The West Lakes Chalet Village has 117 chalets and is inspired by Sir Billy Butlin’s original pastel coloured properties of the 1930s. On The Go Tours has launched six trips in the US and Canada. The tours span from nine to
20 days and allow road-trippers to explore national parks on a converted classic school bus, with nights spent camping. Three of the tours are in Alaska.
