Cruise past enormous glaciers and visit UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites.


This is a varied journey to the little-visited sounds and glaciers of west Greenland. Sail beneath the midnight sun and through majestic fjords, visiting Inuit settlements and discovering abandoned villages and a fascinating Viking history. The area proliferates with icescapes, which you can appreciate up-close from infl atable boats, offering fantastic photographic opportunities.


Voyage itinerary ARCTIC


Day 1 Fly to Reykjavik - the world’s northernmost capital – where you will board your ship. Day 2 Explore the diverse landscapes of Grundarfjorour. Day 3 Cross the Denmark Strait to Greenland. Day 4 Sail beneath sheer granite rock faces in the Prins Christian Sund. Day 5 Visit Qaqortoq and discover some of the best-preserved ruins from the Norse period in Hvalsey. Day 6 Step ashore at Igaliku and take the optional 4km trek to Itilleq, where you will re-join your ship. The evening will be spent in Qassiarsuk. Day 7 Sail close to the beautiful shores of the Tunulliarfi k Fjord. Take an infl atable boat excursion amid the huge fjord complex of Narsaq. You may be able to spot minke whale here. Day 8 Explore Greenland’s capital and oldest town, Nuuk. Day 9 Visit the second largest community in Greenland, Sisimiut. Here you can visit the local museum and the handicraft workshop, where you can watch the locals make jewellery and artefacts from bone, leather and metal. Day 10 Ilulissat, meaning iceberg, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take an infl atable boat cruise to get close to this huge mass of ice. Day 11 Visit the small island settlement of Itilleq, surrounded by high mountains and glaciers near the Arctic Circle. Day 12 Disembark Kangerlussuaq; transfer to shore using infl atable boats. Transfer to airport by bus to catch your charter fl ight to Copenhagen.
