develop 100 12 O’CLOCK STUDIOS
THIS AMBITIOUS START-UP was formed by a group of students from the Blekinge Institute of Technology trying to create something impressive for their BSc thesis: a high quality, narrative-driven horror game. This thesis formed their first
project: The Horror at MS Aurora (pictured). This title was supported by local incubators and even received help from Imagination Studios and Dynamedion on the motion capture and orchestral soundtrack respectively. The game finally launched in
September 2013, but the team has made it clear that it hopes to make this into a franchise.
22CANS
OPENED IN 2012, Guildford- based 22Cans is the brainchild of former Lionhead boss and Microsoft Studios creative director Peter Molyneux. The team has already been busy working on a number of projects, including the widely- talked about Curiosity. The inventive mobile title saw
users around the world collaborate to smash hundreds of millions of cubelets, with one lucky user finding out what’s inside the cube – the chance to be a deity in the studio’s other title, Kickstarter-backed god game Godus (pictured). Out in beta form, the team is working towards a full release in 2014.
