develop 100 CYBERITH
CYBERITH WAS FOUNDED by Vienna University of Technology students Tuncay Cakmak and Holger Hager. The Austrian firm specialises
in virtual reality technology, and is currently developing the Virtualizer (pictured), designed to enable users to move around virtual landscapes without moving in the real world. The locomotion device
features integrated sensors for motion detection, and allows players to move, run, jump, crouch and strafe in-game. It is designed to be used alongside VR technology, such as the Oculus Rift, and with a typical games console controller.
DEFOLD
DEFOLD OFFERS NEWand smaller developers a variety of services, including a game editor and a fast-loading 2D/3D engine for mobile titles. All users need to do is sign up through the company’s website, download the software they need and then begin creating games. Currently in beta, the service
is free to one-man teams for their first five projects and all of the documentation and instructions developers need are on the website. Users are able to test their games on mobiles and tablets, and synchronise files across the world if they are working with other developers abroad.
