Nail industry bids to professionalise itsworkers
Launched this month, the Register of Nail Professionals is a voluntary register, owned and operated by SkillsActive (of which Habia is now a part of), designed to identify qualified nail technicians to the general public.
Stuart Turner, Head of Standards and Qualifications at SkillsActive, told GN: “We are working hard to ensure that the workforce of the UK’s beauty industry is improved and only contains those who have had the correct training to carry out these services. Once this takes place, consumer confidence will be higher, the professionalism of the industry will be more pronounced, and most importantly, we can go a long way in addressing this very serious problem of illegal workers being forced to work at nail bars.”
Izabelle Hammon Ltd’s IZ LED / UV Gel is an all-in-one clear flexible gel that can be used as a base and top coat withmost systems, but especially with gel varnishes.
Designed to retain flexibility, add strength and help prevent breakages, the IZ LED / UV Gel will put an end to chipping, allowing your current systemto last up to six weeks with the flexibility of being able to extend (sculpt or use with tips) and then infill or wrap removal.
Applied like a varnish, and cured under a UV / LED lamp, existing users can’t wait to share their excitement for the product: “I wouldn’t be without IZ Gel. It is a really easy product to work with, givesme the flexibility to extend the natural nail, doesn’t yellow and I love the fact it is compatible with different products,” says Samantha Lock, owner of The Studio Spa.
