iiaa, the UK and Ireland distributor of Jane Iredale SkincareMake-up, is celebrating its partnership withAgainst Breast Cancer for the third year running.
Jane Iredale has launched a limited edition eyeshadow compact, with 100%of net profits fromits sale in the UK and Ireland donated to the charity, helping to fund its pioneering research to improve detection and increase survival after breast cancer diagnosis.
The charity also finances a national Diet& Lifestyle Study of breast cancer survivors involving over 3,300 women in 57 hospitals across the UK, the largest study of its kind in the world.
The k:Spa teamaccepting their award for Beauty Salon of theYear. Hampshire beautywinners
Whiteley-based k:Spa has been named Beauty Salon of theYear atThe News Hair and BeautyAwards 2013 in Hampshire.
The awards, organised by local newspaper The News, celebrated a number of beauty businesses local to the Hampshire region, and were presented at Portsmouth Guild Hall byAmy Childs, at an event attended by over 400 regional industry professionals.
k:SPA was picked froma shortlist by a panel of judges who considered the salon's reputation and feedback fromclients. Kelly Shaw, Founder of k:SPA, told GN: “I amthrilled that k:SPA has won this award, it reallymeans somuch tome personally, andmore importantly to us as a teamto know this has been achieved through our own customers taking time out of their lives to nominate us.

Other winners included LauraAshton of CrystalTips who was named NailTechnician of theYear; BeautyTherapist of theYear was awarded to Paula Orten of BodyWorks Hair&Beauty Clinic in Portsmouth, whilst Dr Dev Patel of DavidAntony Hairdressing and Beauty in Southsea was named Best CosmeticTherapist.
Supporting your small
business The UK’s fivemillion small businesses, which between them provide 60%of private sector jobs and nearly 50%of private sector turnover, are to be the focus of a campaign culminating in the UK’s first Small Business Saturday on 7th December.
Supported by PrimeMinister David Cameron, the campaign aims to highlight small business success and encourage consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.
The campaign follows themodel introduced in the United States in 2010 and which has taken place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year since. Last year in the U.S. $5.5 billion was spent with small businesses on Small Business Saturday itself.
Events are planned throughout the UK in the run-up to and on Small Business Saturday UK, including a nationwide bus tour, and small businesses are encouraged to get involved and create special events themselves tomark the day.

The London School of Complementary Health (LSCH) has launched its new website –
www.lsch.co.uk – featuring a full range of ITEC and CPD courses, massage products and useful information for therapists and holistic practitioners.
LSCH works as a portal to a number of private colleges in the UK, Europe and the U.S. to provide training in one-day CPD courses as well as ITEC
Diplomas.The update to the website means visitors can gain all the information they need about courses and their locations.
The new website also introduces users to a new loyalty points scheme; points can be collected and used across any course and equipment on
lsch.co.uk.

year? NovaLash have launched their third annual Lash Off Contest, where you are invited to showcase your skills and be named the nation’s leading ‘lashonista’!
Running from 1st to 30th November, this year’s Lash Off Contest has two categories: LashArtist of theYear, which comes with $10,000 in awards and prizes, and Fan’s ChoiceWinner, which boasts a $5,000 prize package.
To enter the LashArtist of theYear, submit a one to three minute video depicting yourself applying NovaLash eyelashes and using the proper NovaLash technique. For the Fan’s Choice competition, submit three each of ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots of your best work.
The winners in both categories will be selected in December and announced on 1st January 2014.
