Joined up M2M deal opens new markets
WITH mobile phone subscriptions nearing saturation point a new channel package in the fast changing machine-to-machine (M2M) sector is set to give resellers new profit opportunities in vertical markets.

Network wholesaler Fidelity Group has pulled together a group of industry heavyweights to launch vM2M to the channel, a solution that gives industry field workers data and voice connectivity on a single SIM. Under the ‘Intermec Air’
offering the solution converges best of breed software from MyMobileWorkers (MMW) with state of the art rugged hard- ware from global M2M device leader Intermec and high quality
voice and data connectivity pro- vided by O2 and Gamma. IT distribution giant Ingram Micro adds its logistical strength to the solution.
The dealmaker was Alan
Shraga (pictured above), MD of Fidelity Group, who told Comms Dealer: “M2M is a stickier service than mobile tele- phony. Customers deploy M2M to solve a business problem or gain a valuable new capability. It means resellers can become tightly integrated into the cus- tomer’s business processes.”
MyMobileWorkers founder, Graham Whistance, comment- ed: “Resellers benefit from state-of-the-art data capture devices with a low cost data and voice pricing matrix. “With the pre-loaded MyMobileWorkers app and 100 free transactions resellers can capitalise on the pre-installed app for valuable add-on sales via the Intermec Air package.” The target markets for vM2M will be any sectors that require field workers to communicate more effectively.
