Stakes Results Imachickenkicker rallies to win the PSBA American Paint Derby
Imachickenkicker earned her second stakes win of 2013, taking the top spot in the Paint Stallion Breeders’ Association’s $42,000 G1 American Paint Derby on April 27 at Remington Park in Oklahoma City. The 3-year-old sorrel solid mare worked along the rail to gain the advantage, holding off Lajollas Mr Big Stuff and Laus Deo for a nose win. Trained by Luis Villafranco and ridden by Cody Jensen, the mare ran the 400-yard race in :19.72, taking home $18,900 of the $42,000 purse. By Dos Poruno and out of Game Chicken, Imachickenkicker was bred and is owned by Shirley Wheeler of Boynton, Oklahoma. Last year’s Champion 2-Year- Old, Imachickenkicker’s lifetime earnings now exceed $117,000.
Lajollas Mr Big Stuff, a 2010 sorrel tobiano gelding, finished second in :19.72, earning $8,400 and a speed index of 93. Bred and owned by Jane Cullum of Muskogee, Oklahoma, the 2012 Champion 2-Year- Old is by Royal Quick Flash and out of MCM Evelyn Lajolla. Trained by Dee Keener and ridden by G.R. Carter Jr., Lajollas Mr Big Stuff has lifetime earnings of $136,204 to date.
Coming off a win in the Speedhorse/Graham Farms Paint and Appaloosa Derby in March, Laus Deo placed

third in the PSBA Derby, running it in :19.80 for a 91 speed index. She earned $6,300 for her finish, bringing the mare’s lifetime earnings to $88,247. By Awesome Chrome, the 2010 sorrel solid mare is out of Shero. Bred by Marion Hoskin of Ada, Oklahoma, Laus Deo is being leased by Joni Beth Willis of Caddo, Oklahoma; the mare is trained by Eddie Lee Willis and ridden by Russel Hadley.
