EAW HAS appointed audio industry veteran Rusty Waite to the position of VP of sales. Waite, formerly with console manufacturers including AMS Neve, Euphonix and latterly Stagetec, will lead the worldwide EAW sales network from his new home base in EAW’s design centre in Whitinsville, MA. “EAW is poised to leapfrog others in our space with the Anya system, and we need a powerhouse leader of our sales network to plan for, manage and compound this growth,” said Jeff Rocha,

And coupled with the fact that the majority of EAW speakers are once again manufactured in the US, our momentum is catching on both domestically and internationally, and I cannot wait to see what we as a team do next.”n www.eaw.com

POWERSOFT ANDTraction Sound showcased their new partnership at this year’s Bestival on the Isle of Wight. At the Hidden Disco Tent, four Powersoft K10 amps drove a pair each of Traction Sound Hades infrasonic bandpass subs and Zeus V4 twin 18” bandpass-horn subwoofers, and four Kodiak SDS mid tops. In the more chilled-out Ambient Forest, another two K10s drove two Atlas single 18” bass bins and Kodiak mid tops. “Our rig smashed it and kept people dancing 15 hours a day and didn’t miss a beat. Now that’s the way to do a festival,” said Traction Sound business development director Jonny Goodwillie. www.powersoft-audio.com www.tractionsound.com
