MAAG AUDIO EQ2


What is it?A new two-band EQ in the popular 500-series format.


Details: The Maag EQ2 is a single channel two-band EQ featuring Maag’s AIR Band and a Low Mid Frequency bell boost from Sub to 1.4kHz with tight and wide curves and an input attenuation control providing -12.5dB of attenuation. The EQ2’s AIR Band boasts an additional 15kHz frequency selection making it ideal for adding sparkle and presence to the incoming source.

What is it? A new multi-format AES to MADI converter that provides fibre and coaxial transport.


Details: The new 1U device is intended to provide a single solution to providing MADI on fibre for the broadcast environment. The AM64 accepts up to 64 channels comprising 32 stereo pairs of AES/EBU or AES3-id audio (selectable from the front panel) and


provides format conversion to MADI (with switchable sample-rate converters). The MADI data is then presented either via coaxial or fibre outputs.

ALLEN & HEATH ICE-16D


What is it? An alternative version of the ICE-16 multitrack recorder launched last year.


Details: Both units are 16 in/16 out audio interfaces, allowing performers and audio engineers to capture high-quality multitrack recordings direct to a USB drive or interface to a computer. Additionally, the ICE-16D has


balanced I/O, designed for those customers using the unit in a studio environment or requiring fully balanced inputs and outputs on AES59 standard D Sub connectors. Fitted into a compact 1U rack design, ICE-16 and ICE-16D are capable of studio-quality interfacing, converting and bidirectional streaming of 16 channels over high- speed USB or FireWire at 24-bit,


96kHz resolution. Alternatively, 16 channels can be simultaneously recorded straight to a USB hard drive or memory stick at up to 24-bit 48kHz resolution as a .wav file.

Details: Said by Zoom to be the most advanced portable recorder ever introduced, the H6 offers six tracks of simultaneous recording and employs an system of interchangeable input capsules that can be swapped out as easily as the lenses of a camera. Four capsules are available: stereo X/Y and MS (Mid-Side), both included with the H6, and Shotgun and dual XLR/TRS combo capsules, available as options. The H6 can be attached to a camera strap or mounted directly to a DSLR or camcorder, and its large full-colour display makes it easy to view recording and playback levels.
