After eight seasons at Elizabethtown, Mike Faith takes over as the new coach at Franklin & Marshall, following Lauren Paul’s departure amidst a hazing investigation. Faith inherits two 20-goal scorers in Caroline Krohn and Mary Mitchell, plus goalie Kelsey Hoffman (8.87 GAA).

CATHOLIC CARDINALS
Catholic advanced to the NCAA regional final for the third time in five years. Though the Cardinals lost their top three scorers, they do return Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year Lindsay Brophy (53 points).

The Falcons will need to replace All-American Rachel Dirksen (73g) but have capable returning scorers in Lizzy Keeney (59g), Cecilia Kjellman (31g) and Kiersten McGreer (27g) as they seek their third Commonwealth League crown in five years.

EAGLES The offense will have some holes to fill, as Mary
Washington lost all-time goals leader Catherine Kennedy and all-time assists leader Allie Kimmelman. The defense will look to returning leader Katie Mastropaolo.

Attackers Kerry Eaton (38g) and Gabby Horner (26g) should provide enough cushion for goalie Tess Shapanka (9.16 GAA). But Tufts needs to replace a strong senior class.

Defense must lead the way if the Generals hope to repeat as ODAC champs in 2013. Juniors Leanne Stone (49 GBs) and Olive Waxter (23 GBs) headline the unit, along with sophomore goalie Cara Mulligan (8.45 GAA).

ST. JOHN FISHER CARDINALS
The reigning Empire 8 champions return all but two starters from last year’s team that tallied a school-record 15 victories. The top six scorers are back, led by attacker Taylor Hughes (102 points) and midfielder Melissa Leonhard (66g).

REDLANDS BULLDOGS
Redlands made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament but lost eight seniors to graduation. Junior midfielders KK McCaslin (47g) and Jacky Craycraft (46g) return, as does senior defender Katie Colasurdo (34 GBs), so another playoff run is possible.

OCCIDENTAL TIGERS
Entering its fourth season, Occidental will challenge again for top honors in the SCIAC. The Tigers did not graduate a single player from last year’s 13-4 squad. Six players tallied at least 15 goals, led by midfielders Tori Larson (57g) and Sarah Kessler (56g).
