Healing Hands Network will be amongst the first charities in the country to use its own, unique personalised text code, HHNC05, to raise funds using JustTextGiving byVodafone.
This is a brand new free service, that has no set up or fundraising costs for charities, no network charges for peoplemaking donations and guarantees every penny donated goes to charity. GiftAid can also be added to donations.
Now, supporters of Healing Hands Network canmake donations of up to £10 by texting HHNC05 and either 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 to 70070 tomake their donation. The textmessage is free and all of the donation will be passed to Healing Hands Network, a registered charity which sends volunteer complementary therapists to Sarajevo to work with the victims of the civil
war.The charity are also about to begin a project in the UK working with returning servicemen and women who are suffering frompost traumatic stress disorder.
Administrator Sandra Griffiths said: “This is a wonderful way for us to raise money as it’s speedy, simple and
spontaneous.Most people have amobile phone these days so we expect this to be very popular with our supporters.”
