There are high peaks, attractive alpine and sub- alpine grasslands, old volcanic plateaus and streams, a large number of beautiful mountain rivers, lakes, fresh and mineral springs, karsts caves and chasms, coastal dunes and wetlands, steppes, semi deserts and deserts in Georgia. Pro- tected Areas are also remarkable for plant species diversity; there is a great area of endemic flora. There are more than 3000 species of plants on the territories of protected areas .About 300 species among them belong to endemic flora of region of Caucasus and Georgia and about 42 species of ligneous plants are entered in the "Red List" of species 31 from which are endemic. Protected areas cover almost 90% of the total fauna. Here we meet 543 species of vertebrates including mammals, 92 species of birds, 313 species of amphibians, 9 species of reptiles, 41 species of cartilaginous fish, 7 species of fish and 81 species of raw-boned species. There are 14 species of vertebrates are endemic animals, and 20 species of animals belong to globally en- dangered species.

The ecotourism in Georgian protected areas are developing rapidly. Georgian National Parks were visited by 150 000 visitors in 2010 and by 300 000 visitors in 2011. We hope that more visitors from all around the world will visit Georgian Protected Areas and everyone will see the uniqueness and diversity of nature of a very little country.
And the priority of it is that the visitors can see all types of landscape of the world in a short time, in a small hospitable country.

Semi –desert in Vashlovani National Park. Fauna of Vashlovani is quite diverse and attrac- tive. Vashlovani supports a variety of incredi- ble animals such as leopard, striped hyena, brown bear, wolf, lynx, wild boar, as well as a variety of rare birds including the griffon vul- ture, black vulture, Egyptian vulture, little bus- tard and the rare black stork.
Mountains, the region's villages cling to dizzy- ingly steep slopes that are as picturesque as they are precarious. Tusheti is one of those places that has to be seen to be believed.
Imereti Caves.You have to see Dinosaur’s foot- steps. Under unique and unbelievable lights and music of the cave you can reach the upper most beautiful part of the cave by boat.
