DAY 5 – INNSBRUCK... AN EMPEROR & SKI JUMPER Following the Inn River, travel through Switzerland to Innsbruck, Austria, ending in the historic quarter where history comes alive on a guided walking tour that features guest appearances by the 15th-century German Emperor, Maximilian I, and his two wives. Later, at the Bergisel Ski Jump designed by architect Zaha Hadid, excitement is certain as you watch an expert ski-jumping demonstration (350 ft. in the air) and then meet the athlete in person to learn more about this daring sport. Austrian delights continue this evening on a horse-drawn carriage ride to a traditional mountain hut, where you’ll enjoy Tyrolean food, music, and activities like archery, crazy golf in the forest, three-wheel cycling on an obstacle course and a Tyrolean campfire. After a private castle tour, your journey continues on to the Bavarian capital, Munich, with time for exploring this cozy city on your own.
