Founder, Main Partner and Chairman of Flores & Asociados. Teaches Commercial law at Universidad San Sebastian, Chile. Teaches Strategic Negotiation for several formation programs on Universidad del Desarrollo and Universidad San Sebastian.
As the Main Partner of the firm, his work is on every area of the company. Nevertheless, his main practice is focused on Corporate Law and Strategic Negotiation. He is one of the main specialists in the south of Chile, and have participated in the restructuration of the main business groups. He has participated in all the main bankruptcy processes in the south of Chile for the last 5 years. Is known for his skills in
negotiation at all levels, with great experience with banks, in company boards that assists, with government officers, and with international organizations that often ask for his advice.

Founder and Partner of Flores & Asociados, Director of the Santiago branch. Teaches Tax Law and Management at Universidad del Desarrollo, and also teaches Strategic Negotiation.
His practice is focused on Intellectual Property Law and Strategic Negotiation. He leads a multidisciplinary team, with broad experience in patent writing and patent litigation. An important part of his assignments consist in advising companies about the best alternatives to protect their technologies, as well as how to model the tech business.
Notable Legal Work
• We collaborated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the approval at the Chilean Senate of the PCT Treaty. In fact, we have used PCT for many clients, Chilean innovators.
• We founded the first office within a Chilean University to manage IP Rights, called the
Industrial Property Unit, at the Universidad de Concepcion. Within that work, we established IP policies for the University, and helped many Chilean Universities and R&D centers, as well as companies, to establish their IP policies.
• We have participated in important projects, with companies and universities, for IP
assessments, as well as Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence, for the mining and forestry sectors.
• We have an important practice on patent writing and filing, as well as work on trademark. We also have a practice on patent litigation.

Our practice in Intellectual Property Law include IP assessment for clients that currently are the main R&D centers in Chile, as well as the main private companies that perform R&D in Chile. The fields include mining industry, agribusiness, forestry industry, among others. Our work mainly
focuses in writing and filing patent applications, both in Chile and abroad via PCT.
The main cases we work on are related to advising our clients from the very creation of inventions and technologies, their protection, tech transfer, including the corporate planning for the tech businesses.
We have worked the last five years giving advice for Chilean lawmakers in the preparation and negotiation of laws regarding stimulation of entrepreneurship. We also collaborated to the Chilean Senate, in the negotiation for the approval of the PCT Treaty.
