Piergiorgio Valente’’s Profile
Piergiorgio Valente, a Certified Tax Consultant and Auditor under Italian Law, is Founder and Managing Partner of the International Law Firm, Valente Associati GEB Partners. He is a Member of BUSINESSEUROPE's Tax Policy Working Group (as of 1997) and of the CFE Fiscal Committee of the Confédération Fiscale Européenne. He is also Vice Chair of the Taxation and Fiscal Policy Committee of The Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the OECD.
Piergiorgio is Lecturer in EU and Supranational Taxation (Politica e Fiscalità Comunitaria e Sovranazionale) at the Advanced Course for the Tax Police of the Revenue Guard Corps (Corso Superiore di Polizia Tributaria della Guardia di Finanza).
He also lectures at the Superior Institute of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and in Taxation of Multinational Enterprises (Fiscalità delle Imprese Multinazionali) at the Faculty of Political Studies and for the Superior European and Mediterranean Education (Facoltà di Studi Politici e per l’Alta Formazione Europea e Mediterranea) “Jean Monnet” of the Second University of Studies in Naples (Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli) as well as at the Link Campus University in Rome.
He is the Advisor to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of San Marino for International Tax Policies (as of 2009). Other activities involve Piergiorgio’s being Chairman of the Tax Committee of the CFO Italian Association (ANDAF) and Member of the Scientific Committee of the tax publication “Il Fisco” (as of 1997). He is also a Member of the International Tax Working Group of Confindustria (as of 1997), of the Corporate Council of Assolombarda (Consiglio per il Diritto d'Impresa), of the Associazione Nazionale Tributaristi Italiani (ANTI) and of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He frequently delivers lectures on fiscal matters of international purport, such as group tax planning and international tax treaties at various conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad.
