Arbitration & Litigation Law Firm of the Year

Singapore Firm Profile

Braddell Brothers LLP is Singapore's third-oldest law practice, founded in 1883 by two Irish gentlemen, the sons of the first Attorney-General of Singapore.

Today, we are a boutique Litigation, Arbitration and Corporate practice, specialising in high-end, complex civil and commercial litigation, criminal lit- igation and international arbitrations (e.g. SIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL) in Singapore, Jakarta and the Asia- Pacific region.

Our lawyers have experience representing clients in large, high-stakes and difficult cases ordinarily re- garded as the private reserve of Singapore’s largest law firms and specialist dispute resolution practices.

Over 2010-2012, we handled no less than six Worldwide Mareva (Freezing) Injunctions. We also recently instructed Toby Landau QC of Essex Court

Chambers to represent one of our Indonesian clients in an arbitration enforcement matter in which approx. US$250 million is at stake.

The Legal 500 (Asia Pacific, 2012 ed.) notes: "At ‘innovative, responsive' litigation boutique Braddell Brothers LLP, the 'aggressive, articulate' Edmund Kronenburg and Tan Kok Peng handle high-end matrimonial, medical negligence, shareholder disputes and insolvency matters. Anand Nalachandran, former practice head at ATMD Bird & Bird, strengthened the team."

"Braddell Brothers LLP's 'good strategist and communicator' Edmund Kronenburg is advising … in enforcing its $35m ICC arbitration award … in Singapore and Jakarta."
