2PURE MERGES WITH CHOCOLATE 2pure has combined with Chocolate Distribution, adding Clement, Kinetic, Paceline Products (Chamois Butt’r) and Rolf Prima to the 2pure distribution portfolio. The road-focused brands are set to

strengthen the distributor’s offering in the category. “We have a very clear vision of what

2pure needs to be focused on to ensure that we are still thriving ten years from now,” explained 2pure founder George Bowie. “We had to carry out some soul

searching when making the decision to extend our portfolio as it challenges one of our core values. That said, several of our other core values and our core purpose support this change and it is important that we continue to evolve and add value to our customers and brands.” According to 2pure, its key purpose is ‘to build business by adding value in ways

which improve the experience of all participants in every interaction’. 0844 811 2001

I-RIDE AND PROLOGO I-ride has been appointed a distributor of Prologo saddles with 2013 stock set to land as soon as mid-September. The distributor

has long held a relationship with the saddles specialist, having chosen the firm’s saddles to adorn the Eddy Merckx, De Rosa and Argon 18 bikes. Paul Butler, managing director of i-ride, said of the deal: “We are very excited about Prologo’s innovative range of saddles. We think our competitive pricing and stock-in deals, along with our consumer marketing will certainly help push the Prologo brand to the position it deserves in the UK.”

The new 2013 range from Prologo

promises some exciting technology developments including the CPC system, which has just been launched at Eurobike. For more on becoming a stockist, contact info@-ride.co.uk.

CYCLESENSE AND FOLLOWME Yorkshire retailer CycleSense has linked up with Swiss parent-child tow bar maker FollowMe, a manufacturer with a unique take on how a two-bike tandem should work. Noting the wobble sometimes

associated with seatpost clamped tow- bars, FollowMe’s steel tandem bracket links at axle level, offering a lower centre of gravity and thus a more stable ride for the child.

It weighs 4kg and features a clever connection and special quick-release mechanism which allows parents to react quickly to their cycling environment. When the child is cycling independently, the device remains attached to the adult bike and is simply hitched up by a nylon strap to the seatpost.

The device works with kids’ bikes with

wheels measuring between 12-inch and 20-inch. FollowMe can also be used with a pannier rack and side panniers attached to the bike at the same time or even a rear mounted child seat, allowing parents to tow two children at once. The FollowMe is priced at £210 and is

available exclusively in the UK via Cyclesense on its family-geared FollowMe website. For more information visit www.followmetandem.co.uk or call 01937 844068
