AUSTRIAN BICYCLE brand KTM has revealed it is looking to take a larger slice of the UK cycle market. KTM, perhaps best known for its motorbike range, is one of many cycle brands that has not yet enjoyed a significant foothold in the UK market, but has been increasingly eager to get one in the cycle retail sector. However, at the start of the year KTM penned a deal with Fli Distribution, which has been supplying UK cycle retailers since January. KTM sales staffer Florian Siegesleitner
told BikeBiz: “We’ve seen lots of articles and news on how successful the bike market is in the UK, and we want to get into it. “Almost the full range is in Britain now since we partnered with Fli and we’re happy with how it’s going.” The brand added that the range will
not be available through online discount stores. He told us: “We’re looking for dealers across the UK and we’re not

happy with online retailing, so we’re only working with IBDs. We’re anti- discounting and we want to keep our dealers happy.”
