 DAHON Dahon’s board of directors has been boosted with Eddie Eccleston, who joins the board as global sales and marketing director for the brand. Eccleston has 32 years of experience in the bicycle industry having held senior management positions at Townsend Cycles and Peugeot (bicycles) UK. He also has deep industry expertise having served as president of the European Cycle Manufacturers Association (COLIBI) and on the board of the European Parts Manufacturers Association. “Eddie Eccleston has been a strong


contributor for the company in the last year and we are pleased to add one of the industry’s most experienced professionals to the Dahon board of executives,” said Dr. Hon. “He brings a tremendous breadth of


experience and strong industry relationships to support many of the decisions Dahon will face as we continue to grow.” Eccleston joins current board members Dr.

 EASTON BELL SPORTS Bicycle industry veteran Marty Mares has joined the Easton Bell Sports as business unit director. Mares brings more than 20 years of


experience in the cycling industry with numerous senior roles held in sales, marketing, product development, manufacturing and business management. Prior to joining Easton Cycling, he led sales and marketing for the popular online triathlon store, Trisports.com. Mares also previously served as president of


the EBike division at Motor Excellence as well as CEO of Genuine Innovations—a leader in tire repair and inflation products for bicycle and motor sport use.


 SHUTT VR On the back of Shutt VR’s Leicestershire office move, bringing the firm closer to its production base, two further staff have been added. Firstly, Lucy Gardner, an aspiring sportswear


under-graduate, has joined Shutt with the opportunity to develop new lines of performance cycle wear and cycle based leisure wear. Hailing from the West of England, she is bringing with her new youthful, environmentally aware and high performance designs; having earned a degree in Performance Sportswear Design from Bristol University. Secondly, is Matthew Beedham, a recent


graduate of Newcastle University Business School. Bringing with him his expertise in digital marketing having worked within the digital distribution team of Warner Bros, Beedham brings a broad range of skills and ideas from a number of industries.
