TOY TALK 81

Bigjigs has smashed the world record for the longest wooden toy train track, with its gigantic play-set measuring 2,196.5 metres long. Over 10,000 pieces of Bigjigs Rail were used to beat the previous record, which stood at a paltry 1,650 metres.

The company even raised around £1,500 for charity on the day, which was held at The Historic Dockyard in Chatham. Money was given to Chatham Dockyard Locomotive Restoration Fun and Demelza House Children’s Charity. “A great day was had by all, young and old, and a lot of money was raised for charity,” said Bigjigs Toys operations manager Sam Ireland. “What more could we ask for?”
