A STAGGERING 125 toy industry people from 22 companies have signed up for the Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge on July 6th. With four weeks to go (at time of press) the focus is on fundraising with a goal of raising £100,000 to build, equip and run an orphanage in Malawi. “We need everyone to sponsor somebody if we are to reach our fundraising goal,”

stated Toy Trust Chair, Nick Austin. “If you cannot find someone to sponsor online please send a cheque made payable to the TOY TRUST CHARITY and send to Matt Jones at the BTHA. This is the biggest fundraising event the UK toy industry has ever attempted and providing a safe home for 48 orphaned children should be all the motivation anyone needs to support with some cash.”

FENCE CLUB GET ON THEIR BIKES

FOR THE second year running, Lego was a sponsor of the recent ITV Soap Awards. Over 300 gift bags including Lego goodies were handed out on the night to stars including Emma Bunton, Denise Van Outen, Charlie Brooks, Rupert Everett, Omid Djalili, Philip Schofield, Keith Lemon and Sid Owen, among others. Lego PR manager, Emma Owen, along with Corinna Henson and

Sharday Well from agency Norton and Co, were treated to VIP seats among the Emmerdale cast members and access to the after show party. And to prove it, here’s Henson with Eastenders’ stars Pam St Clements and Jessie Wallace.
