Peterkin launched the rebranded Dolls World range at the start of 2012. The new pink and white packaging has a more modern feel and has received a positive reception from UK customers and distributors worldwide. The packaging was designed to lift
the perceived value of the whole range of dolls, furniture and accessories, while the planned programme of Dolls World point of sale material will further boost brand awareness and ensure that it can now be merchandised effectively in dedicated Dolls World retail space. To further support the brand in 2012, plans are in place to develop a Dolls World promotional video that can be used for in-store promotional purposes. However, the rebranding is not just a case of putting the old range into new packaging. Peterkin has invested in new moulds and tooling across the range of dolls and accessories to ensure that the range has a fresh feel. New fabrics have been used for the outfits and for the fabrics used for the range of prams and strollers. New materials are used for the eyes and hair and accessories. The Tiny Tears brand continues to be a success for John Adams, with a refreshed version of the Tiny Tears Classic doll being introduced for 2012. The original crying, feeding and wetting doll comes with a new look and new clothes for this year as well as accessories including potty, bottle, pacifier, pull up knickers and hair brush. Available from June, the new Classic Tiny Tears doll will have TV advertising and PR support throughout the year. John Adams is also expanding its Girls World range with the introduction of Gabriella, the Girls World Styling Doll,

aimed at girls aged four years and over. Measuring 42cms in height the fashion doll comes with long blonde hair and includes comb, clips, braid, slides and colour extensions; everything girls need to get styling. Also included is a beauty bag to carry all of her accessories. The Girls World
Styling Head enables girls to create their own individual hair styles using the many accessories included. Girls can add in colourful extensions, plait, braid and twist the hair into any style desired for endless play value. The range will be TV advertised and have PR support throughout the year.

RUBIE’S
Rubie’s says that it is the only official supplier of Disney costumes in the UK and Europe.
New for 2012 is Rubie’s Merida costume collection, heroine of the Disney/Pixar movie, Brave, released this August. New styles for 2012 also include an ‘I Love Minnie’ range, a 101 Dalmatians ballerina dress and breathtaking Classic and Winter Wonderland Disney Princesses, each complemented by a new range of click clack shoes, tiaras, handbags, wigs and facepaint. My Little Pony, Lalaloopsy and Monster High costumes are also big news for 2012.
