news to use CRUISING E-learning with ACE

BY JO AUSTIN ACE has launched a series of new e-learning modules covering the onboard and destination experiences along with top selling tips on cruising. The five new modules complement

those which were launched in early May and include sections detailing on- and off-ship experiences together with choosing the right room onboard and tips on the best places to cruise at certain times of the year. ACE director Andy Harmer says: “The

new informative and accessible e-learning modules are designed to give agents a real understanding of some of the key elements that make up a cruise holiday. For example, new cruisers can find the choice of room types daunting when there may be up to 37 to choose from.” ACE has also revealed details of its first ever Expedition Expo, which gives

our partners at Mail Newspapers revealed their latest consumer research on attitudes to cruise with an interesting take on some of the very positive reasons for taking a cruise. It showed how consumers really enjoy the value, entertainment and dining offered onboard. The research also supported the findings of numerous other surveys that the choice of destination is still vital to encouraging non-cruisers to step onboard. The pull of destination helps explain why cruise lines invest in the shore excursion experience. It might also go some way to explain the growing attraction of taking an expedition cruise where the destination is the main highlight – seeing the wildlife up close and experiencing the local cultures. I was delighted to be able to visit

the Caledonian Sky last week when she called into London. What a great example of expedition cruising, with zodiac boats for off the beaten track and expedition leaders helping guests appreciate everything they see. The visit coincided with the ACE announcement that we are holding our first Expedition Expo in London on September 18. Expedition cruising is great way to introduce cruising to those who haven’t considered a cruise.
