TurtleTrek is SeaWorld
Orlando’s newest attraction, fusing mammal
encounters with state-of-the art 3D entertainment. Guests first
visit two massive marine habitats, home to gentle
manatees and gliding sea turtles, learning what makes each species so precious. They then enter a domed theatre by Falcon’s Treehouse where they are surrounded by a very realistic, 3D 360 degree film that takes them on the amazing life journey of a sea turtle named Nyah. There’s a call-to-action at the end of the experience: SeaWorld urges guests to join in conserving the world we share. “Do a little, do a lot, but join us and do something to help the world and its animals,” says Brian Morrow, the attraction’s chief designer. “TurtleTrek is about the everyday heroes who can make a difference in nature.”
Chimelong expands Python slides into Guangzhou
Family Python
Chimelong Water Park – one of the world’s busiest waterparks – has just expanded with China’s first ever Family Python waterslide from WhiteWater, as well as an Extreme River by the same company. By day, the Family Python's theming is a spectacle of tropical Hawaiian fun, with an impressive exit and a bold colour scheme. By night, the spectacular serpent remains entertaining with vibrant lighting effects. Inside the riders get an intense adrenaline- rush, being swallowed into its 20ft (7m) enclosed MEGAtube section, where oscillations, tighter turns and higher banks provides a multi-sensory overload for riders.
The high capacity Extreme River is supercharged with a hydraulic system to create the most extreme waves up to 3 feet (0.9 metre) high and accommodates over 12,000 people per hour. Chimelong Water Park is part of the Chimelong
Resort in Guangzhou and entertains over 1.5 million guests a year.
