has become increasingly focused on at-risk youth. The program makes the game affordable and accessible, while simul- taneously developing life skills and values which are taught at Youth on Course clinics and online through a web-based life skills curriculum. The Youth on Course curriculum pro- vides goal-setting, healthy lifestyle choices and nutrition education. To include youth from all so- cioeconomic backgrounds, the Foundation partners with local organizations to identify underserved youth in communities who would not otherwise have such opportunities.

MEMBERS-ONLY OUTINGS

The 2012 members-only

outings are already underway as the first was held at Stan- ford University GC in March. This was the first of 12 out- ings scheduled over the next several months. The goals for the program in 2012 included greater accessibility via week- end events and lower pricing. As always, this year’s lineup includes some of the best resort and private courses in Northern California. The program is a great benefit for NCGA members to play a private or resort course for a reasonable price. The cost for these outings usually covers more than just green fees, as carts, lunch, range balls and a prize fund are included.

Over the next three months, outings

Greenhorn Creek

have been scheduled at Silverado Resort- North Course (May 12), Greenhorn Creek Resort (June 9) and Old Greenwood GC (June 23). Silverado, Greenhorn Creek and Old Greenwood, as well as upcoming events at Edgewood Tahoe and Half Moon Bay, are scheduled on weekends. For more information on these events, contact Sam Staton by phone or e-mail: 831/625-4653 or sstaton@ncga.org.
