CRAZY FLING is a play anywhere game which aims to capture the competitive nature of the summer Olympics while delivering a fun, family element.

The game can be played both indoors and outdoors and was designed to be easy to understand, so people can begin playing within minutes. It folds into a compact portable package and was made to be easy to set-up. The Crazy Fling Pitch is spread out and then players can start bouncing, flicking, heading, tapping and flinging the ball. It can also be played in swimming pools – so it could

provide children with that extra encouragement to enter the water. “Crazy Fling feedback has been amazing, the kids love it as they can be expert in minutes,” says Katrina Cross of Crazy Fling. “The beauty is that even if

players are not particularly sporty, the fun element of the game keeps their interest intact as they enjoy a good physical workout.” Crazy Fling is playable by groups of two and four people. The two player version has an RRP of £19.99, while the four player game retails at around £29.99. www.crazyfling.com

RAINBOW PRODUCTIONS represents over 120 children’s characters and organises the attendance of these favourites at live events across the UK, working in partnership with licensors, licensees and retailers. The opening day of this year’s

London Toy Fair saw Rainbow managing the personal appearances of 16 famous children’s brand characters on behalf of licensors. In attendance were a number of recently acquired characters in the company’s portfolio – with licences such as Chapman Entertainment’s Raa Raa

the Noisy Lion and HIT Entertainment’s Mike the Knight – alongside more established properties like Peppa Pig and Dennis the Menace. Characters took part in the group photo call and other media engagements, with these appearances helping to generate coverage within the toy industry press on behalf of the brand’s owners. Rainbow’s licensed characters also attended the stands of associated toy licensees, for press opportunities geared towards highlighting toy ranges. In-store retail visits, shopping

mall tours and family festivals provide an opportunity for a licensed costume character to engage with a young audience and add even more interactivity and entertainment to promotional activities. This brand extension into live events also serves to keep the brand front of mind, helping promote toy listings. The first quarter of 2012 has already seen characters take a February half term tour of Asda stores across the UK, plus in-store appearances at Smyths Toys, Toys R Us and Tesco. www.rainbowproductions.co.uk info@rainbowproductions.co.uk
