spray tanning
With the rise in reality television shows and the stars
on our screens looking healthy and tanned, comes the demand fromyour clients for a subtle glowall year.
natural tan to all clients,” says Britta. “Somemanufacturers offer an advanced gun to offer an even finermist which swiftly turns themobilemachine into a fully functional salonmachine with an even better outcome than previous salon systems but for amuch lower price.”
However, the solutions used are also benefiting from advancements, with many becoming odourless, organic, free of chemicals and parabens and some opting to offer clear solutions so that the client doesn’t look like they have just been for a spray tan. Britta says: “The development of more advanced solutions like natural, paraben free or organics have helped many therapists to differentiate themselves from competing businesses and also enabled to offer clients a more varied and sophisticated approach to spray tanning. Clients in turn appreciate the more comfortable way of spray tanning, the way the tan is applied, develops and wears and are happy to invest in retail items to match the range and to be able to prepare and maintain their tan even better at home and inbetween appointments so it’s a win/win situation for everyone.”
Trends in tanning are also developing, according to Kerri Roberts from Crazy Angel. “Bespoke tanning is an essential trend to cater for in 2012. Clients are now more discerning than ever when it comes to getting a tan and much more in tune with the colour tone that suits them and those that don’t work being too light or are too dark and look unnatural.”
Britta adds: “We can be glad that the industry is so innovative and creative and that we have so much to look forward to in new trends and developments and we should all be excited about this year and what it will offer us!”
So what’s on offer for 2012?
