A few months ago, freight on Indian airlines was flying high – and it was forecast to climb higher. But by the end of 2011, some airlines were on the verge of bankruptcy and

2020 and its third-largest aviation market at the same time. Certain more bullish predictions suggest that by 2050 India will move up to overtake the US and become the second-largest world economy after China. But the air logistics business in the
subcontinent is struggling to keep pace with the speed at which the country
wants to develop. So, what is holding India back? The answer, possibly, is as deep as any of the rich and diverse philosophical thinking available from Delhi to Kochi or between Mumbai and Kolkata – India is holding India back! While the world’s media continues to
