F
or over 14 years Jan de Rijk Aerospace has been supplying their clients with unparalleled
levels of service and the most capable advanced equipment available, most of which has been designed and built in house. Operating 24/7 from bases throughout Europe, Jan de Rijk Aerospace transport the products of the two main aircraft engine manufacturers, alongside engines from major airlines, charter companies and R&O facilities. All variants are carried throughout
the ranges up to the largest with dimensions of 3,65 m wide and 4,0 meters high in the transportation stand. These large engines are moved throughout Europe on unique mega low, low-loaders with a loadbed height of just 30 centimeters, a computer controlled variable height adjustment, load stability program and remote steering. These features combined allow for the smooth passage of the biggest engines to all the main aircraft hubs across Europe. To move these dimensions by road

special international authorizations are required. Jan de Rijk Logistics has 74 such authorizations permanently in place allowing them to supply their clients with a fast effective response saving precious time in an AOG situation (Airplane On Ground). Jan de Rijk also has trailers that can load and unload directly onto an aircraft via main deck cargo loaders. They are also able to maintain “Known
Cargo Status” when required up to 3,8 meters in width. Helicopters also form a large part of
the Aerospace Divisions’ workload. Using modified trailers, eurocopters, lynx and even apache longbow have all been transported success fully on many occasions. In fact; 48 apache airframes were moved over a two year period on a 500 mile route, at all hours of the day and in all weather conditions, without a single problem or delay. Also part of Jan de Rijk’s staple diet
is the transport of aircraft sub assemblies and tooling, items such as landing gear, wing flaps, thrust reversers, A.P.U.’s, and the list goes on.
All of these items have one thing in
common; they are all handled in the same way, from the large A 380 aircraft engine to a bootstrap kit. They travel on trucks with full air
suspension specifically designed for the job they are doing. Driven by people with years of experience in this type of work and backed up by a management structure that understands its client’s needs and has a genuine desire not only to meet them but to exceed them wherever possible. transportation solutions that can be relied upon and would like the Jan de Rijk Aerospace Division to design and build a package specifically to meet your company needs, please contact us at:
