sports and to highlight the fact that Virgin Atlantic is the only UK air carrier to offer free baggage allowance for sporting equipment, the Jamaica Tourist Board will continue its programme of specialised sports fam trips with its partner. Tour operators and agents will experience the tourism product as well as the sporting facilities that the destination has to offer by participating in or watching the sport of their choice. Hill has undergone a refurbishment, with new furnishings to its plantation- style cottages and spa – which also has new equipment and a new team of


therapists. The hotel’s popular Sunday brunch is being reintroduced using only local organic ingredients sourced from its own gardens. In addition, Strawberry Hill now offers tours of the local area, taking in the coffee plantations and led by ornithologists and horticulturalists. Due to open in the latter stages of


2012 are two new properties from the people behind Jamaica's Geejam Hotel and the exclusive Island Outpost, favoured by celebrities like Grace Jones and the late Amy Winehouse. Located in Port Antonio, Trident Castle and Trident Hotel will comprise 40 suites divided between 17 beach-front villas and the castle, set


in the Victorian town’s tropical surroundings and overlooking the sea. Montego Bay Resort Half Moon has


introduced new wedding and honeymoon packages. The Honeymoon to Remember package includes a couples’ massage and Champagne on arrival. Other romantic options include an outdoor bush bath or a private picnic by moonlight on the resort’s beach. The package includes all meals and drinks at Half Moon’s six restaurants and eight bars.
