Blackpool Pride staged its first event in may 2006 and seven years later has grown into one of the foremost events of its type. Entertaining the crowds in its own unique way, “Pride” welcomes visitors to the resort from throughout the UK and beyond.

THE POLLINATIONS mid June-August
From a “seed” of an idea grew Blackpool’s latest attraction. Flower power takes over the Winter Gardens for the summer season, when giant dazzling flower and plant sculptures take centre stage in the newly restored and aptly named Floral hall.

OLYMPIc TORcH RELAY EvENINg cELEBRATION 22 June
On day 35, exactly half way round the tour of Britain, Blackpool celebrates the arrival of the Olympic Flame in the resort. Thousands are expected to line the route to the Tower Festival headland where everyone is invited to enjoy a once in a lifetime experience as part of a memorable evening of celebrations.
