THE BLAcKPOOL TOWER


In 1889 the mayor of Blackpool, John Bickerstaffe, visited the Great Exhibition in Paris and was impressed with the newly constructed Eiffel Tower. he brought the idea home to Blackpool but added a full entertainment complex in the base.
