Investors can grab a discount with UK developer Quintain Estates as it presents its London- based Wembley City project at this year’s show…offering a price of £170,000 for show-goers. Other highlights on stand 135 include yields of over 6%, 24 hour concierge and a nine-minute travel time from central London. Savills London Forecast for September 2011 also predicted a growth of over 29% by 2016.


Mauritius looks to UK


Mauritius is hoping to lure UK investors and professionals at this year’s Property Investor Show & OPPLive, with the National Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritius anticipating a high-level of interest. The agency expects interest not only from international investors but also from professionals looking to take advantage of the low tax regime for businesses. Tourism and hospitality currently make up 18% of the country’s GDP, attracting roughly one million foreign visitors annually.


Agents’ St Lucia chance


Freedom Bay will use this year’s show to find agents and other industry professionals to promote its St Lucia development, including the first Six Senses international branded five-star hotel in the Carribbean, to overseas buyers. Buyers can own property via deeded fractional ownership or outright, and investing early could see them claim 25% from the list price. Freedom Bay’s David Austin will be presenting seminars on ‘Why serious investors should look closely in the Caribbean’ (Thurs, 13:00, room 3) and ‘How to get into property investment in the current market (Sat, 13:30, room 2).
