Planet Restaurant's heart-warming cuisine in Cape Town
Although still new to Cape Town’s culinary landscape, Mount Nelson Hotel’s Planet Restaurant offers a truly gastronomic adventure.
With its elegant classic architecture softened by a palette of warm white hues and shooting star chandeliers, dining at Planet is both chic as well as relaxing, inviting foodies to linger over just one course or a seven course taster menu, in the main restaurant, the more secluded conservatory or dining privately in the six-seater cellar surrounded by glowing wine racks.

Other captivating touches at Planet Restaurant - the stainless steel arms of the chairs have wooden insets for the benefit of diners with bare arms; napkins have buttonholes to prevent soup stains on your shirt; little folding stools are situated next to your seat for your handbag and there are very welcome canapés on your table whilst you browse over the menu - compliments of the chef.
The menus at Planet restaurant are inspired by modern tastes but rooted in the rich heritage of the Cape.
